Jose Mourinho starts preparations for next job after clarifying 'agreement' with new club

Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on the Bayern Munich job and has already started taking German lessons in case an opportunity to replace Thomas Tuchel arises.

The Portuguese coach, 61, is currently unattached after being sacked by AS Roma last month but has already been tentatively linked with a wide variety of roles, including clubs in the Saudi Pro League and across Europe.

Fan unrest is growing in Munich with the German giants now five points behind Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen, who have now gone 21 matches without defeat in the Bundesliga this term.

Bayern are unlikely to be short on elite candidates if Tuchel, who was appointed as head coach last March, is dismissed in the coming weeks.

While Mourinho would seemingly be open to stepping in at Bayern, he was heavily touted to be on his way to the Middle East after leaving Roma with reports claiming he had a 'verbal agreement' with Saudi Pro League outfit Al-Shabab.

Tuchel, another former Chelsea manager, guided Bayern to the German title last year after replacing Julian Nagelsmann midway through the season. He is under pressure, though, following Saturday night's crushing 3-0 defeat against title rivals Bayer Leverkusen.
