Lewis Hamilton Finds Lucky Omen at Spanish GP Amidst Mercedes’ Rumored Plots to Sabotage His Race

The F1 paddock at Circuit de Barcelona just got lit up by not one but two Lewis Hamiltons! Yes, you read it right—the Mercedes racer has gotten a doppelgänger who just visited him. Added to this, some frenzied fans even approached Hamilton’s replica to take pictures as if he were the real Silver Arrows man. And when the Briton spotted him in the audience during a pre-race event for the Spanish GP, he exclaimed at their resemblance.

Lewis Hamilton walked into the tenth Grand Prix of 2024 with newfound faith in Mercedes. This is because he scored an encouraging fourth-place finish at the previous race in Canada after many failures. Now, what Lewis needs is a podium place to shut down speculation that Mercedes is sabotaging his races. It is said in some mythology books that meeting one’s doppelgänger brings good luck. If that is so, then the Silver Arrows racer might be in for a race win or might get a top-three start to the Spanish GP. But what did Lewis Hamilton say to his lookalike when the two met each other?

The Spanish Grand Prix has become special for Lewis Hamilton now that he has met his lookalike here. The Briton’s replica was present at his fan event. When the 39-year-old racer spotted him, he exclaimed, “Hey, my lookalike’s here!” Truly enough, the doppelganger sported long dreadlocks just like Lewis, and he sported an identical long-sleeved black Mercedes t-shirt and red pants too.

Those are based on rumors that have recently started around the F1 paddock. An anonymous source from a Mercedes insider has sent out an email that confirmed that Toto Wolff and his team are allegedly trying to sabotage Hamilton’s races. The insider also wrote that the team wants to favor George Russell because 2024 is the Briton’s last season with them. Lastly, the email mentioned this is all a result of Wolff’s anger at the fact that Hamilton chose to drive for Ferrari. To dispel these horrific claims, Lewis Hamilton needs to win against his Red Bull rivals soon.

Lewis Hamilton’s lookalike steals Red Bull and Aston Martin’s show

The viral video of Lewis Hamilton meeting his lookalike also showed fans posing with the latter in the F1 paddock. An entire queue of fans formed around the doppelganger because they wanted to take photos with him. In the background, the video showed how the Red Bull and AMR pre-race shows went on, but the frenzied fans were only busy snapping selfies with the “fake Lewis.”This goes to show how famous the seven-time World Champion is amongst the fans. Even though he last won a Grand Prix in 2021, Lewis Hamilton is still the heartthrob of plenty of people.
